Our condo does not include one. Does that $100 include them delivering it, setting it up, and taking it down ? If so, I don't know if that's an unreasonale charge. It will be $140 plus tax... I know that you can buy a pack and play from Walmart for half the price, but our daughter sleeps way better in a crib since she is 13 months old. ps that is for 10 days not 7 You might want to try the thrift stores but really $140 including delivery and setup for 10 days isn't bad. Besides this way you can dictate the type of crib you want and will be less likely to get a recalled one. We did have a portable crib (pack 'n play) provided by our condo for our 9 month old, but he ended up in bed with us every night due to the unfamiliarity of it all (fortunately we had a king-sized bed, so there was plenty of room for all of us).

He did nap in the PNP every day. Is your condo a private rental or through an agency? If through an agency, can you change to a different unit/building? I know some might see that as extreme, but I specifically look for properties who provide cribs/high chairs, etc. (which also decreases the risk that the condo is decorated with decidedly child-unfriendly items). Also, could you get a rollaway bed, pull out sofa or twin bed and just put the mattress on the floor?

backpack pearson download We just returned from time on Kauai and Oahu (between Dec 28-Jan 16) - I recall reading in one of the Island papers (either the Garden Isle News or Honolulu Star Advertiser) of a couple who run a business renting the latest in strollers, car seats and other child care items for travelers.

Maybe other readers can add details as our youngest is 11 and it would have been perfect for our trips there when the boys were younger. I remember it being in the newspapers and not in the 101 Things to Do on... guides or the local free papers. When my kids were small, we used Ready Rentals and it was very convienent! They had everything set up before we arrived and they picked everything up after we left. They arranged access to the rental through our rental agency.

Okay, so 10 days, $140. I still don't think that's an unreasonable price. Sure, you could buy one of those smaller things cheaper but what you're paying for is a) convenience and b) their services (bringing it to you, having it set up at your arrival, etc.) It's a time and service thing instead. I'd consider it worth to be able to let someone else completely handle it and be done with it. I probably wouldn't rent from them considering the crib pictured on their website is currently banned from manufacture, sale, or resale in the US. Perhaps they haven't updated their artwork in a while, but if you rent out children's items, I think attention to detail is rather important. We brought our own Pack 'n Play for our 13-month old, but he was used to it already. We were tempted to just buy one at KMart on the way in, and donate it on the way out. You could even leave it at the condo for people in a future situation. I would call them and find out what crib they actually rent.

The pictures on their website are older and probably just for informational purposes. And my understanding is that crib was banned fairly recently (not that I've been paying much attention to this since my kids are now 9 & 12). We've never had an issue with any of the baby gear we have rented from them.
